Addition

Located at the intersection of heritage and high design, Addition redefines downtown living by uniting a contemporary condominium tower with the historic Murray Hotel, one of Vancouver’s preserved SRO landmarks.
Developed by Kenstone Properties and designed by Henriquez Partners Architects, the project integrates 20 storeys of market condominiums and townhomes beside the restored hotel façade — creating a dialogue between the city’s past and its modern skyline. Kitspace played a key role in realizing the interiors and presentation environment that brought Addition’s design philosophy to life.
Inside each residence, space is treated as a canvas for individuality. Open plans, flexible partitions, and precision-built storage systems allow residents to configure their homes to suit evolving lifestyles. From the concealed, Italian-manufactured kitchen cabinetry sourced through Friul Intagli, to the custom pullout systems and recessed lighting details, every element balances efficiency and elegance.
In the lobby, Richard Henriquez’s public artwork A Tribute to Duchamp — composed of over 100,000 tiles — anchors the project’s artistic spirit, bridging the public and private realms.
Addition stands as a case study in adaptable urban design: a building that honours heritage while embracing contemporary life. Through thoughtful interior detailing and manufacturing precision, Kitspace helped transform a once-empty downtown site into a livable, flexible, and enduring new landmark.
