After purchasing the IDS West Laneway House in 2013, Keith Scott, founder of Beachcomber Hot Tubs, was struck by Kitspace’s design-for-manufacture approach. That encounter sparked a long-term collaboration to reimagine how Beachcomber presents its products, its people, and its brand.

Kitspace was commissioned to redesign both the company’s Surrey headquarters and manufacturing campus and a new 6,000 sq. ft. retail showroom in Laval, Quebec. The goal: transform these spaces into immersive “Experience Centres” that celebrate craft, innovation, and Canadian design while enabling efficient, repeatable build standards across multiple locations.

Working directly with Beachcomber’s leadership and its sister company EMC Business Solutions, Kitspace developed a cohesive spatial system that unites retail, education, and operations under one modular framework. The environments combine digitally fabricated millwork, prefinished modular walls, and lighting and display systems engineered for rapid installation and long-term flexibility.

For EMC’s offices, the same logic of adaptability was applied to workspaces — integrating digital infrastructure, collaboration zones, and client-presentation areas that reinforce the company’s role in supporting Beachcomber’s global dealer network.

The result is a complete transformation of Beachcomber’s physical identity: a network of branded environments that embody precision manufacturing, human connection, and the warmth of a Canadian success story.
